Psychotherapy

As a licensed psychotherapist, it is my privilege and passion to support individuals and couples on their paths toward insight, skill-building, and greater well-being.
Since 2004, I have been treating children, adults, and couples in a wide range of settings. I have worked in the Los Angeles and Bay Area public sectors with at-risk youth and their families, engaging with both school and community platforms. I also have extensive experience providing nature-based therapies to adults and teens, and guiding wilderness rites-of-passage to mark major life changes. As such, I always seek to integrate the knowledge of nature and the planet in my work with clients as we cope with the stress of our fast-paced lives.
I am trained in modalities of Gestalt, body-centered somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness practice, ecotherapy, and EMDR. I am also particularly passionate about working with pregnant and postpartum women, and am certified in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I have taught a college-level wilderness backpacking course with the Sierra Institute through UC Davis Extension on Nature Literature and Ecopsychology, as well as co-produced a short documentary on the impact of tourism in Southeast Asia. Finally, I am a parent, which has been the most transformative and potent role I have served in my life yet.
